Central Vacuum Motors Replacement Concerns
Central Vacuum Motors, the issues over the last few years is the Quality of replacement motors. The manufacturer of the Central unit you purchased had certain specs for the motor manufacturer. Years later when your units motor(s) start failing, most people prefer to change the motors(s) out as it is cost effective. The problem is the replacement motors are not the same specs, lower quality then the original(s). I've had new motors hold up for 1-2 years then we have to change them out again. Warranty, the manufacturers are dating the motors and refer to the date on the motor for warranty, typically 1-3 years. If the motor has been sitting around at the manufacturer, and or at a distributor they are out of warranty! The other concern is most of the motor manufacturers do not have a warranty for the end user installing the motor themselves.
